LSWO HIgher Education Workshops
For years, the LSWO has provided Higher Education workshops which are facilitated by Social Work Faculty who will be presenting. We understand higher education can be stressful, and the faculty provide great advice and direction.
With online and hybrid MSW/PhD/DSW programs, you have many opportunities to achieve your goals.
LSWO Protect Your License Guide
The LSWO will be providing a Protect Your License Guide. Since 2000, social workers and students have shared issues with changes made to their Licensure Act, in their State.
There is one national organization, which has a lobbyist or Executive Director who has the relationships with your State House/Senate members.
In 2025, social workers have many social work organizations to select from, but not all share up to date information on licensure. Therefore, it is the responsibility to be informed, and participate in future changes to your State Licensure.
We have created this guide, so you can review your State's Regulatory Department in regards to your license.
If you are concerned with changes to your license or would like to recommend changes, you should get involved in making these changes.
